New Orleans is known for many things – good food and drink and good times among them, of course. Before or after a day and night walking the cobblestone streets of the French Quarter or people-watching from a balcony in the Marigny, it feels great to relax and recharge in a bubbling soaker tub – in-tub cocktail optional. Here’s our list of the best hotels with jacuzzis and hot tubs in New Orleans – bookable on Culture Trip.
The guest rooms in this Greek Revival edifice have been updated and modernized with contemporary furnishings and amenities, but they’ve managed to avoid erasing the 1850s character for which New Orleans is known. The property includes on its checklist a patio, gardens and a hot tub. As for the location – near restaurants, bars and museums – you’re a mere three blocks from Crescent Park on the banks of the Mississippi River and it’s less than a 10-minute walk to the French Quarter.
With hardwood floors, four-poster beds and photogenic period decor, Lamothe House shows off its 1839 roots. Book a room in this boutique hotel and be sure to choose one with a balcony overlooking the courtyard – filled with cobblestones and garden plantings that are classic to New Orleans, as well as a swimming pool and handy hot tub. Lamothe House is on Esplanade Avenue, a busy street between the Marigny and the French Quarter – where action is guaranteed.
Staying at this all-suite hotel makes it easy to enjoy a little taste of home while on holiday in New Orleans. Take advantage of the kitchen and extra living space to stretch out – and hang out – before exploring the surrounding Marigny neighborhood and nearby French Quarter. Rooms are spick and span – the spotlessness is enhanced by pale wood-laminate flooring and pure white bed linen, along with stunning wrought-iron balconies facing an interior courtyard home to a pool and a hot tub.
This Warehouse District building dates back to the 1830s, but the multi-bedroom suites contained within have been updated for a sleek, all-modern look. Clean lines, original art and new kitchens and appliances are really useful additions to rooms of exposed brick and original wood beams. The complex includes a deep-blue modern pool and a hot tub. Accommodations come with balconies that look out on the private pool courtyard – while the location is within walking distance to the French Quarter and Central Business District (CBD) and many museums, shops, restaurants and bars. We’re pretty sure you won’t get bored here.
The Canal Street Inn oozes New Orleans charm. The 1912 Greek Revival mansion still flaunts the original woodwork and stained-glass windows – while modern upgrades and amenities include a small gym area. Relax Big Easy-style by sipping a cocktail on the big front porch and watching the streetcars trundle by. The mid-city location is convenient for exploring Tulane University, City Park, the museums and more. Back at the ranch, rooms have private baths – three of which come with jacuzzis.
The Green House Inn is ideal for adults – no children are permitted here – who want a little fun in the sun, New Orleans style. This is a bed-and-breakfast oasis that takes advantage of the semi-tropical climate – handily, many rooms have private balconies. Tucked away in the Lower Garden District, the property has advantages including a saltwater pool with a waterfall and hot tub. Speaking of ideal for adults, the pool is clothing-optional. Although forget naturism – full attire is required otherwise throughout the inn.
Named for the hour after the sun sets but before the sky turns dark, Blue 60 Guesthouse has an attractive setting in a brightly colored home that dates back to 1842. Rooms in this boutique inn have vividly colored decor, as well as kitchens and balconies for lazing on, taking in the surrounding action. A shared hot tub in the garden makes for warm and leisurely socializing or relaxing. The location, Marigny, is brilliant for restaurants and bars – while being conveniently close to many of New Orleans’ attractions.
