“Come for the swamps, stay for the vibes” isn’t a slogan you’d ever expect to see employed in order to attract visitors, but in the case of Slidell, it works. Folks come here for the Honey Island Swamp – a haunting, pristine fresh-water swamp nestled between the west and east Pearl rivers. Then they discover the bustling town – full of restaurants, shops, galleries, and history museums – and decide to stay awhile. Here are the best hotels in Slidell, bookable on Culture Trip.
