Frank Lloyd Wright's Allen House

Designed in 1915 by Frank Lloyd Wright, this historically significant structure is considered by experts to be one of Wright’s last prairie houses. Lloyd himself considered this one of his best works, and visitors often echo this same sentiment. The home features more than 30 pieces of furniture designed by Wright, including all of its original glass. There have been some small newer renovations to reflect the ever-changing times of design, such as an attached garage. Many architectural writers who have visited the home, state that the living room is one of the ‘great rooms of the 20th century’. Luckily, the home is open to the public to book a tour and view for themselves why this particular design is so spectacular.
