A heady blend of year-round sun, white-sand beaches and whimsical Art Deco architecture, Miami is a must-see. Add to the mix a flourishing arts scene, pulsating nightlife and hefty dollop of Latin flair, and it’s easy to fall under the spell of Florida’s most vibrant city. It’s constantly reinventing itself, with once scruffy neighborhoods reappearing as design districts crammed with art galleries and fusion restaurants. Meanwhile, hotels range from palm-shaded hideaways to slick modern skyscrapers. Need somewhere to leave your wheels? The best hotels in Miami with parking are right here – all bookable via Culture Trip.

Expect knockout views from this glossy 54-story tower in downtown Miami. While not ideal for vertigo-sufferers, the sleek, modern rooms have floor-to-ceiling windows and glass-walled balconies for magnificent views over the shimmering Miami River. Take a lift to the 16th floor and you’ll find two infinity pools, the vast Exhale spa and Area 31, a hip seafood-inspired joint that buzzes at happy hour. Downstairs, there’s A-listers’ fave Zuma for sensational sushi, or a short stroll away lies the lively Brickell district, with its open-air restaurants. On-site parking costs $24 (£18) for the day or $44 (£33) overnight.

2. Asian sophistication at Mandarin Oriental Miami

The unique location of this hotel gives it the feel of a real getaway – on a custom-built private island connected to downtown Miami by a short bridge. As you’d expect from the luxury Asian brand MO, there’s a sophisticated look, with glossy marble galore and polished dark wood, along with immaculate service. A good choice if you have children in tow, the resort is more family-friendly than some of the other Brickell boltholes – expect multi-room suites, kids’ menus and babysitting on offer. Don’t miss the waterfront pool, where you can watch mega-yachts glide past from your lounge chair. On-site valet parking costs $48 (£36) daily.

3. Four Seasons Miami, for cool pool lazing

One of our favorite Miami hotels with parking, this place occupies one of Miami’s tallest buildings – so this 70-story retreat manages to feel both super-slick and oasis-like. The steel-and-glass high-rise has a cool, contemporary feel, with Deco-inspired touches and high-end artwork (spot the fun, chunky sculptures in the lobby by renowned Colombian artist Botero). It also boasts a two-acre (0.8ha) rooftop pool terrace shaded by palm trees and dotted with hammocks, making it popular with off-duty business travelers and families. Valet parking is available for $48 (£36) daily, or there’s self-parking adjacent to the hotel for $40 (£30) daily.

5. JW Marriott Marquis Miami, for classic elegance

Right on the waterfront in downtown Miami, this glittering high-rise is popular with the corporate crowd, but there’s plenty for vacationers, too, with a rooftop pool deck, swish spa and swanky Med-themed restaurant Boulud Sud. The look is classic rather than cutting-edge, with lashings of marble and mahogany in the lobby, while elegant rooms are done up in soothing neutral hues. Bayside Marketplace is an easy stroll along a waterside path, or there’s vibrant Brickell within walking distance, too. Valet parking is available on-site for $55 (£41) daily.

6. Minimalist chic at Hotel Beaux Arts

A hotel within a hotel, the Beaux Arts is the blinged-up big sister of the JW Marriott Marquis, occupying the top three floors of the same soaring skyscraper. It shares the rooftop pool and spa, but rooms here are a notch up in the style stakes. Expect sleek monochrome decor, minimalist design and enormous bathrooms with deep tubs. Some accommodation options are themed after different artists – the Warhol Suite has the most spectacular views – while the chic 39th-floor lounge delivers knockout vistas and killer cocktails. Valet parking is available on-site for $55 (£41) daily.

7. EAST Miami, for sky-high cocktails

There’s a hip, playful vibe to this glistening outpost of the Hong Kong-based hotel brand. In the heart of Brickell, it’s surrounded by thrumming bars and restaurants and a 20-minute drive to the sunny charms of South Beach. Inside, soothing rooms have a spa-like feel, enlivened by pops of color – luxe touches include walk-in rain showers and super-squishy beds. Time for a dip? There are two angular infinity pools ringed by tangerine lounge chairs, plus a high-tech fitness center. At sunset, don’t miss Asia-inspired tapas at the rooftop bar, before heading downstairs for superb Uruguayan cooking. Valet parking is available for $49 (£37) a day.

8. Spa serenity at SLS Lux Brickell

This lavish all-suite hotel is a masterclass in understated opulence, from the glamorous mirrored lobby to the cloud-serene rooms decked out in shades of lavender, lime and dove-grey. Each has a coffee machine and mini-kitchen along with all the usual bells and whistles. The 9th floor is home to two pools, one for laps and another for fun with a sloping beach-style entry. Make time for a massage at the dreamy Ciel spa (spot the Dalí sketches in the spa lobby) before undoing all the good work with a potent Sun Drop cocktail on the rooftop at Altitude. Covered valet parking costs $42 (£31) a day.
