Pinones en Orlando

If you’re visiting Florida, you have to try some Latin American food from residents with ties to Latin America. Pinones en Orlando has some of the best Latin American cuisine in all of Orlando, even though it’s just a humble food truck. Their name is from a beach in Puerto Rico, and their flavors are Puerto Rican in nature. All orders are fresh and made in-house, with guests picking from shrimp, lobster, king crab, chicken, pork, steak and even octopus when it comes to fillings.

Backhaus German Bakery & Deli is a great deli and bakery for both those experienced in German cuisine or first timers. They focus on being traditionally German, with various wurst dishes, as well as pastries and desserts like strudel. You can sit down and order your food to be served, or you can order their deli and bakery selections to go. They tend to get quite busy during peak hours so expect a long line from midday onwards.

The Strand

The Strand is a small restaurant with big flavors. They style themselves after contemporary cuisines with a modern feel and ingredients. All their dishes are made from scratch, and the chef features seasonal items. While The Strand doesn’t look extravagant from outside, customers will regret not visiting to try their menu. Items include twists on American classics like salmon with dill sauce, pork belly with fried grits, snapper cakes, and Cornish hen.

North Quarter Tavern

North Quarter Tavern is a warm, welcoming establishment with great service. All of their items are made from scratch and with fresh ingredients – no short-cutting here. The difference shows too, and their food stands out from the crowd. All food is overseen by Chef Matt Wall, both at brunch and at dinner. Menu items include hand cut wagyu steak tartare, grilled Scottish salmon, smoked duroc pork belly, and more. They also have some of the best poutine you’ll get outside of Canada.
