Mac’s Club Deuce

Bar, Pub Grub

Mac’s Club Deuce is a quintessential dive bar. With a smoky and dimly lit interior, you can get your dance on with some jukebox tunes. If dancing is not your thing, there is also a pool table and a killer two for one happy hour. The appeal here is that Mac’s Club Deuce is about as divey as can be. It is also the oldest bar in Miami and has cheap drinks, which are practically extinct in lovely South Beach, so go and enjoy some classics from the jukebox and the old divey decor.

FDR at Delano

FDR is cocktail bar – lounge – club done right. With celebrity DJ appearances and an impressive crowd, the club atmosphere is swanky yet intimate. The decor is mod with colored ceiling lights illuminating the room and the club is clearly stylish, so be sure to dress as such (or you may not get through the door). Monday nights are the popular nights out at this spot.

Juvia

Restaurant, Bar, French, Japanese, Peruvian, American

If you are looking for a classy or romantic bar with a view, Juvia is your spot. With mod decor and an elegant yet simplistic French atmosphere, you can enjoy indoor or outdoor seating high above the breathtaking Miami skyline. Upon reaching the penthouse floor you will immediately note the amazing view and the live plant wall. The interior decor is white with hints of pink and is entirely lined with glass floor to ceiling walls. Enjoy an exotic caipirinha and perhaps a Peruvian or French appetizer, but more importantly, enjoy the view.

Rose Bar at Delano

Bar, American, Beer, Wine, Cocktails

Rose Bar at Delano is aptly named. The room is basked in a pink hue and rose quartz glow beneath the bar, and it is elegantly furnished with additional seating available out on the terrace. Enjoy a starter of truffle popcorn with the famous melon mule. The staff is professional and knowledgeable and drinks will not fail to impress. Regardless of how crowded the bar becomes, the atmosphere remains intimate and luxurious, making this an ideal cocktail stop.

Mangos

Bar, Pub, Nightclub, Cafe, Diner, Caribbean, Pub Grub, Wine, Beer, Cocktails

Because one simply cannot go to Miami without Latin music and tropical drinks, Mangos comes alive with dancers in elaborate costumes who put on world class performances throughout the night. Mangos is located right on Ocean Drive and offers, arguably, the best mojitos on the strip. If mojitos are not your taste, Mangos has an extensive wine list along with an array of handmade tropical drinks. You are truly in South Beach when sipping a mango margarita while a dancer shakes her plumes.

The Living Room at the W offers both a classy and intimate atmosphere. With outdoor seating available by the pool and a beach side location, The Living Room is an excellent bar for the early afternoon and late evening. Not only is the atmosphere phenomenal, the mixologists are as well — if you’re unable to pick a cocktail of your liking, talk about a few of your favorite tastes and the bartender will come up with something delicious. The crowd is on the posh side, so if you’re looking for a night out in some chic attire, this is your place. With the neighboring Wall nightclub next door, it’s a fun spot to hop from one to the other, sip cocktails, and people watch.

The Broken Shaker

Located in the Freehand Hostel, the Broken Shaker has become well known for its quirks and eccentricities. The backyard setting includes a pool, a ping pong table, bocce ball, and a marvelous array of patio furnishings. Drinks here are taken seriously, and you can’t go wrong with the handcrafted cocktails. There is a garden in back and trees throughout, adding to the relaxed and unique atmosphere. The Broken Shaker always holds a crowd and is probably one of the best spots in South Beach. Order the Kentucky Derby, play some boardgames, and enjoy this little hidden paradise.

Lost Weekend

Lost Weekend is an unpretentious and inviting pub on South Beach offering billiards, an air hockey table, and sports television. Well liked for its divey atmosphere, Lost Weekend offers a calm sanity to the South Beach storm. Be warned, this is different from the South Beach posh clique the bar is a bit dingy and divey, the servers are friendly, and people are there to have fun. If you are looking for an inexpensive and chill atmosphere, Lost Weekend is your place. Ladies drink free on Wednesdays.
