The Inn at 97 Winder

Originally built in the 1870s, the Inn at 97 Winder offers its guests a Victorian mansion aesthetic. With each room designed and restored to late 19th-century perfection, the Inn offers a variety of room options. One room consists of two stories, with a spiral staircase leading to the top floor. Another room contains vintage furniture that uses a widely colorful palette of fuchsia, baby blue and deep blue velour. The Inn at 97 has restored and maintained the lavish elegance that the manor possessed a century and a half ago. It’s also available for weddings and other events.

Renovating four mansions and two carriage houses, the Inn on Ferry Street was designed and restored to Victorian elegance. Guests can decide which of the four mansions they would like to stay in, and the Inn accommodates if space allows. Each of the rooms is individually designed, and most of them include a jacuzzi. The hotel is in walking distance of the Detroit Institute of Arts and the Motown Museum, and it serves a full breakfast each day and offers a free shuttle.

Originally, 234 Winder was a late 19th-century home for the Schloss family. Now, over a century later, 234 Winder is a quaint bed and breakfast on the edge of an upscale boom.
