Rows of each flank either side of the clear blue waters, and both are equidistant from the barbeque grills, where you’re free to play pitmaster. Not much of a cook? Warm up some hot dogs in the kitchenette in your suite; no one will complain if the frank arrives with a bucket of cold beer.

We suppose you don’t need the penthouse suite at Elita Hotel, but how else are you supposed to get a bird’s-eye-view of the beach and the boardwalk? Not only are you right beside the beach, which features a giant Fort Lauderdale beach chair begging for a photo op, but the playground at DC Alexander Park next door offers sand-free fun. Don’t worry parents, you’ll have plenty of fun yourselves at the yoga studio at the hotel, munching on food cooked up by celebrity chef Fabio Viviani, and sneaking away for tequila sunrises on the fifth-floor pool deck.

If you’re a Parrothead, then you know that a stay at Margaritaville Beach Resort will be as easy on the body as Jimmy’s tunes are easy on the ears. Leave your worries at home, and pack only a swimsuit, a pair of shades and an extra shaker of salt (just in case).
