In the Rocky Mountains of Colorado lies Aspen, one of the world’s most popular skiing destinations. With four mountains, such as the Snowmass, at around 8,000 feet (2,438m), the resort town is covered in snow nearly half the year, so it’s no wonder ski lovers venture here. With breathtaking views, hiking trails and an array of boutiques, restaurants and galleries, there is so much to do here that it’s worth booking a longer trip. Luckily, there are a lot of hotels and apartments that you can rent for long-term stays. Below is a round-up of our favorites.

With two- and three-bedroom residences, Aspenwood condominiums are the best choice location-wise, as they are just a short 100 yards (91m) away from the slopes. The residences have a pool, hot tubs, a sauna and a gym, so there is plenty to do once you’re off the slopes. For dining, they have their own kitchens, and you’ll also be close to Snowmass Village Mall. Bookings here include an airport pickup, internet access and use of the laundry room, so you can keep your luggage lighter.

Each condo comfortably sleeps four, with a queen-sized bed and a queen-sized pull-out sofa bed, separated by a floor-to-ceiling partition.
