In the Rocky Mountains of Colorado lies Aspen, one of the world’s most popular skiing destinations. With four mountains, such as the Snowmass, at around 8,000 feet (2,438m), the resort town is covered in snow nearly half the year, so it’s no wonder ski lovers venture here. With breathtaking views, hiking trails and an array of boutiques, restaurants and galleries, there is so much to do here that it’s worth booking a longer trip. Luckily, there are a lot of hotels and apartments that you can rent for long-term stays. Below is a round-up of our favorites.

1. Aspenwood

With two- and three-bedroom residences, Aspenwood condominiums are the best choice location-wise, as they are just a short 100 yards (91m) away from the slopes. The residences have a pool, hot tubs, a sauna and a gym, so there is plenty to do once you’re off the slopes. For dining, they have their own kitchens, and you’ll also be close to Snowmass Village Mall. Bookings here include an airport pickup, internet access and use of the laundry room, so you can keep your luggage lighter.

2. Tamarack Townhomes

These condos have the feel of a private residence, thanks to an outdoor pool, a hot tub, fully equipped kitchens and complimentary parking. Located directly across the street from Snowmass Base Village, the condos are right in the heart of it all, with easy access to the Ski School and Treehouse Kids Adventure Centre. It’s the perfect choice if you fancy an evening stroll after a long day of skiing or even just popping to the shop for a snack. With a selection of two-, three- and four-bed condos, you can ensure you book the right place for you and your family.

3. Laurelwood

“Ski-in, ski-out” is a phrase that ski-lovers adore as it means the accomodation will be convenient, time-saving and, more often than not, cozy. Laurelwood offers spacious condos that have a private balcony or patio with a two-tier stone hot tub and, most importantly, a log fire. Each condo comfortably sleeps four, with a queen-sized bed and a queen-sized pull-out sofa bed, separated by a floor-to-ceiling partition. For dining, the condos have a fully equipped kitchen, so you can cook up all your home comforts.

4. Villas at Snowmass Mountain Club

With panoramic views of Snowmass Mountain and Mount Daly, the villas are flooded with natural light and have either a patio or backyard. For dining, they come with a fully equipped kitchen and a dining room. If you’d like to make the most of the stunning views, you can also use the outdoor grill. You’ll have access to an athletic center, a spa, four swimming pools and, of course, hot tubs – so après-ski can be as energetic or relaxing as you want it to be.

5. Lichenhearth
