The Top Beach Bars on Cape Cod
What makes a good beach bar? Well, for starters, there must be outdoor seating. Views of the water are also required. And finally, reasonably priced drinks are a great perk. Here are some of the best finds on Cape Cod, a quintessential New England beach town.
The Beachcomber
Bar, Seafood
Beachcomber is a local favorite that rests on a gorgeous beach. Spend the day in the sun and come up to the bar for fresh seafood, a pint, and to listen to live music (there’s a band or DJ there practically every night of the week).
Chapin's Fish & Chips and Beach Bar
Bar, American
Chapin’s Fish & Chips and Beach Bar is not actually on the beach, but it does have a great outdoor patio with a bar. Stop in for classic seafood like fish and chips or a lobster roll, and enjoy yourself in the sun. They often have live music and great cocktails, and are a short drive or 10-minute walk from the beach in Dennis Port.
Ocean House Beach Bar
Bar, American
The Ocean House Beach Bar is a new bar also in Dennis Port on Cape Cod. However, this spot is much more modern and stylish than the no-frills Chapin’s. Dress up for a night out here and watch the sunset over Nantucket Sound. Located right on the water, you can enjoy views while you sip specialty cocktails or watch a sport’s game on their two outdoor plasma televisions. Try the frozen mudslide, mojito, or the aptly-named Beach Bum.

Quahog Republic: Waterfront Eatery
Bar, Seafood
Quahog Republic has a few locations throughout Cape Cod, but every spring through fall, they open up their Waterfront Eatery. Stop by for one of their infamous Bloody Mary’s (complete with bacon, olives, and the like), and try out their Monsta lobster roll. There’s also a raw bar, outdoor dining, and live music on Sundays. Enjoy the dog days of summer at this bar with a lively vibe and water views.
