For better, or for worse, America’s controversial President-elect has been voted Time Magazine’s person of the year.

The magazine’s managing editor Nancy Gibbs revealed Trump as the winner on the “Today” show in New York on Wednesday. And yes, Hillary Clinton was selected as the clear runner-up.

During the broadcast Gibbs said:

“I’ve never seen so much agreement about who had the most influence,” Gibbs said. “I don’t think that we have ever seen one person operating in such an unconventional way have an impact on events of the year quite like this.”

Did Trump have anything to say? Of course he did. Following the announcement he called the Today show and told them: “It means a lot. It’s a very important magazine,” he said. “I consider this a very, very great honor.”

Trump did throw a tantrum over the Magazine’s headline referring to him as the ‘President of the Divided States of America.’

The President-elect added it was ‘snarky’, because in his own words: ‘I’m not President yet, so I didn’t do anything to divide.’ (The world begs to differ Mr Trump).

Oh, and if you hadn’t noticed, it looks like the magazine had another dig at the President-elect with its suspicious ‘M placement’…
