Scottsdale may not be the place for long, elegant brunches, but serious breakfast eaters will love the diverse restaurants that this Arizona city hosts. From brie-stuffed French toast to cheesecake lattes, Scottsdale boasts some of the most creative breakfasts in the Southwest. Here are 10 of the best.

Butters Pancakes & Cafe

As the name suggests, Butters does cater specifically to pancake lovers, but actually, they offer a whole slew of sweet breakfasts. Butters totes 13 variations on the pancake, including everything from ‘Protein Power’ wheat pancakes to Oreo Cookie S’mores cakes. Along with pancakes are creative French toast dishes, bacon Belgian waffles, and authentic french crepes. If a member of your party doesn’t have a sweet tooth, Butters also serves scrambles, omelets, and other breakfast classics without the sugar.

Perk Eatery

Perk Eatery’s eclectic omelets and sizable signature dishes were featured on Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives. Guy Fieri tried the Wine Country French toast, stuffed with French brie and topped with red wine syrup, and equally delicious are the Breakfast Enchiladas with chipotle ricotta. If you can’t tell, Perk likes to reinvent breakfasts classics, so if you are an adventurous diner you’ll love Perk Eatery.

The Breakfast Joynt

The Breakfast Joynt serves all American breakfast classics all day long, so if you’re craving pancakes for lunch, then you’re in luck. While The Breakfast Joynt’s dishes aren’t bursting with creativity, they are made of quality ingredients. The Breakfast Joynt is a great place for folks who want a standard, tasty breakfast with a lot of options.

D’Lish Kitchen & Coffee House

D‘Lish Kitchen & Coffee House is perfect for a quick, tasty, and healthy breakfast. It may be called ‘fast food’ on Google Maps, but be assured, you won’t find a greasy biscuit sandwich here. What you will find is a huge selection of coffee, tea, and blended beverages, as well as breakfast sandwiches and burritos. If you’re really in a rush, d’Lish has a drive through.

Daily Dose Old Town Bar & Grill

Daily Dose Old Town Bar & Grill’s menu features a long list of wildly creative dishes and indulgent coffee drinks. If you plan on Daily Dose for breakfast, make sure to eat light the night before, because the portions are large and the food is rich. One of our favorites is the ‘Chorizo and Jalapeño Corncakes,’ a mouthwatering stack of cornbread flapjacks cooked with chorizo and jalapeño and topped with two fried eggs.

Arcadia Farms Cafe

Arcadia Farms Cafe is a farm to table restaurant that prides itself on the local and organic ingredients used in all of their dishes. The menu is short, but it doesn’t lack for creativity or options. If you want a lighter meal, try the Baby Spinach and Tomato Omelette, but if you were woken up by your growling stomach, then order the Breakfast Quesadilla. Arcadia also has a variety of tasty baked goods, like lemon curd bread pudding.

Olive & Ivy

Olive & Ivy is a new-age Mediterranean restaurant with an eclectic breakfast menu. We recommend Olive & Ivy for bigger groups looking to share plates and have a few drinks. Besides mimosas, Olive & Ivy also makes a Bloody Mary, a bellini, and the Oldtown Hound, made with gin, elderflower liquor, and grapefruit juice.
