Big Fish Restaurant and Bar

Open for lunch and dinner, Monday to Saturday, Big Fish Restaurant and Bar specialises in fresh fish and seafood dishes full of wonderful flavours. Oysters, tuna, crab and lobster are all in abundance and there’s also a spectacular selection of sushi on offer. For those less enthralled by fish, the chefs at Big Fish Restaurant and Bar know how to prepare a steak and a mouth-watering burger too. The restaurant’s classic signature dish is the hand trimmed fish of the day, sautéed, grilled, bronzed or fried. This place will not disappoint.

Bimini Bob’s

Feel free to dress down at the ultra-casual Bimini Bob’s. Unlike most restaurants along the coast that asks guests to cover up to eat, swimwear, sundresses and flip flops are all perfectly acceptable here. An open-air restaurant, diners are treated to incredible views of the ocean that are especially beautiful at sunset. Surf and turf lovers will be in their element with Bimini Bob’s array of fish, shrimp, crab, oysters and beef brisket burgers, and children will love watching dolphins play as they tuck into their kids-sized meals. Happy hour lasts nearly all day and local bands regularly perform.

Brick & Spoon

A beautifully quaint cafe, Brick & Spoon is the perfect spot for breakfast, brunch or lunch around Orange Beach. Specialising in Cajun and Creole inspired dishes with a delectable Louisiana twist, the food on offer here is colourful, warming and incredibly affordable. Choose between a brunch of baked brie bruschetta, chorizo and scrambled eggs breakfast tacos, eggs Benedict with grilled chicken and creamed spinach, a soft shell crab BLT, or a handmade cheeseburger with house aioli. Whatever dish you go for, be sure to order one of the delicious spirited morning cocktails too. Both the spiked espresso milk and the wild berry mimosa are too good to miss.

Cobalt

Whether you arrive by foot or boat, Cobalt is perfectly equipped to cater to you. Open for breakfast, lunch and dinner seven days a week, guests can expect impeccable service and absolutely gorgeous coastal cuisine. Wherever possible the fish and seafood on the menu are caught daily, ensuring that the dishes are as fresh as possible. For a truly memorable dinner, sure to satisfy even the pickiest of foodies, order either the Cobalt crab and shrimp dip or the oysters for an appetizer. For a main course choose between the fresh catch of the day served with jambalaya rice, or the pecan fried catfish served with sweet corn and black eyed pea succotash. End the meal with a helping of fried apple pie or banana pudding for that sweet touch. You won’t regret it.

Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina

Two restaurants in one, Fisher’s at Orange Beach Marina is home to both the Upstairs restaurant and the Dockside restaurant. Both are excellent, with Upstairs offering guests the chance to revel in an upscale dining experience as they sample the chef’s latest seasonal creations such as roasted oysters with leek garlic butter, and stuffed flounder with lemon burre blanc. Dockside on the other hand, is a much more casual, family oriented venue, with an excellent Sunday Brunch.

The Gulf

A humble little Mexican-inspired eatery, built out of disused shipping containers, The Gulf makes for a chilled out lunch, dinner or drinks spot. The staff here keep the vinyl spinning to create a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, and the cocktails and cold beers flow into the evening. Sit outside and enjoy simple yet wholesome fare such as tuna tartar with avocado, grilled swordfish with raw local tomatoes, a handmade Gulf burger in a brioche bun or a fried grouper sandwich. The type of place that makes people completely lose track of time, The Gulf is the epitome of the holiday vibe beach bar.

Villaggio Grille

A Mediterranean Italian fusion restaurant, Villaggio Grille’s dishes are prepared using a wood burning stove and grill to create amazing combinations of flavours. Try the grilled beef fillet mignon, the beer braised short ribs or the bone in pork chop. Villaggio Grille also has plenty to satisfy seafood lovers, the white truffle honey Gulf coast shrimp and the fried oyster Caesar salad are both absolutely delicious.
