Style-lovers are always on the lookout for great fashion finds, and you need never go out of style while you’re visiting Puerto Rico’s capital city, San Juan. Stop by these menswear and womenswear boutiques and check out which pieces you’ll be wanting to add to your closet this season.

1. Stella Nolasco

Nolasco’s designs have been worn by Puerto Rican celebrities such as Miss Universe 1993 Dayanara Torres, singer-songwriter Kany Garcia, and actors America Ferrera and Katie Lowes. She is an alum of Drexel University and has shown her designs at New York and Paris fashion weeks. 2. Lisa Cappalli

Store

Designer Lisa Cappalli studied at Parsons School of Design in New York City, and has a boutique store in Old San Juan, the capital’s historic district. Her feminine creations, as she describes them have been featured in Caras, Imagen, and El Nuevo Dia. Check out her work, which includes bridals looks, at the online store and on Instagram.

3. Monsieur

Monsieur is a menswear boutique that carries brands such as Cole Haan and Vicomte A. The store has been dressing men since 1976, and introduced several brands to the Puerto Rican market. Stop by Monsieur in Condado in person or shop online.

4. Marella Boutique

This womenswear boutique in the Condado area of San Juan offers resort wear and contemporary clothing, bathing suits, and accessories. Take a look at their clothing on Instagram, and check out their online store or their bricks-and-mortar boutique. If you stop by this store, then you’re already in the Condado area, which has a beautiful beach, so a swimsuit purchase would be a perfect buy in order to make the most of the great weather.

Shoppers can find Luca in Old San Juan at Calle de la Cruz. The pieces available are curated by Laura Lugo, designer and boutique founder. The boutique has been open since 2013 and also stocks home goods.

6. Nono Maldonado

This brand is named after Nono Maldonado himself, a Puerto Rico native. Maldonado designs menswear, womenswear and furniture. He’s an alumnus of Fordham University and previously worked at Bloomingdales. Nowadays, Maldonado is one of Puerto Rico’s most well-known fashion designers.
