The Abeokuta Paradise Nature Park in Negril was officially opened in 2003. The Nature Park is a garden of ginger lilies, ferns, taro plants, croton and many of Jamaica’s indigenous wildlife, but the main feature of the park is the almost Olympic-sized pool which is fed with water from the nearby Sweet River.

The Nature Park is also one of the few places in Jamaica that you can get a fish pedicure! Dip your feet into the water and the inch-long fish, known as doctor fish, will begin to feed on the dead skin on your feet. The easiest way to enjoy the majestic view of the Blue Mountain range is to visit Holywell National Park. The 330-acre park stands approximately 1km above sea level and is the most popular destination within the Blue and John Crow Mountains. Surrounded by a range of exotic flowers and plant species, the park features five signposted trails, a ranger station, bathroom facilities and picnic/barbecue areas. There are also a few inexpensive wooden huts available at the park if you want to stay a night in the hills.
