Art At The Ridge

Tides Art Gallery

Based on the West Coast of Barbados as part of the popular Tides Restaurant, the Tides Art Gallery exhibits works in a mix of forms, from watercolors to jewelry. The art pieces displayed reflect the vibrant and beautiful islands, and are all created by respected Barbadian and Caribbean artists.

Galerie Monnin

One of Haiti’s oldest art galleries, Galerie Monnin has been at the forefront of contemporary art in the country since its opening, and has survived the country’s many social and political upheavals. Today the gallery regularly exhibits Haitian artists working within a range of forms.

Mutual Gallery

Since being established in 1975 by the Jamaica Mutual Life Insurance Company as a donation to the arts of Jamaica, the Mutual Gallery has placed its focus on promoting emerging and established Jamaican artists, both locally and internationally. The gallery also runs a busy events calendar and hosts a range of competitions throughout the year.

OBRA Galeria

Since its opening in San Juan in 2000, the OBRA Galeria has been dedicated to exhibiting the best of Puerto Rican and International art, as well as representing a number of young and contemporary artists. The gallery has also been the recipient of the Annual Prize in the category of Collective Exhibition handed out by the Critics of the Puerto Rican Association of Art (AICA).

The Inner Gallery

One of St Lucia’s most highly respected contemporary art galleries, The Inner Gallery displays and sells a number of works inspired by the Caribbean Islands by both emerging and established artists who manage to capture the island’s stunning beauty. The gallery has also held exhibitions by well-known international artists.

Bajo El Sol Art Gallery

Located within the unique architecture of Mongoose Junction – a fashionable shopping and dining centre on the Island of St John in the Virgin Islands – the Bajo El Sol Art Gallery is held as one of the island’s leading galleries for contemporary art with its displays of paintings, sculptures, ceramics and jewelry.

Gallery St Thomas

Winner of the ‘Best Gallery for Local Art’ as voted for by the readers of the Virgin Islands Daily News, the Gallery St Thomas aims to showcase the very best Caribbean art by offering a quality venue in which local artists can display their Caribbean inspired art.

NLS

Founded by the artist Deborah Anzinger in Kingston, Jamaica, NLS is a not for profit art initiative with a focus on contemporary visual arts. The space aims to support local artists and to help strengthen the local art scene with a mix of exhibitions and events.

Avistamientos Gallery

Born as a way to help nurture emerging Cuban artists, the Avistamientos Gallery provides an exhibition space for local artists to exhibit their works alongside Cuban artworks dating back to the 70’s. The displayed works consist of a range of mediums including paintings, ceramics, sculptures and video art.

In recent months, the gallery has hosted the Havana Biennale as well as a number of young and exciting new artists.
