The Dominican Republic has the largest concentration of all-inclusive beach resorts of any country in the Caribbean. Here are some of the best beaches the Dominican Republic has to offer and their best features:

Boca Chica

Considered one of the most family-friendly beaches in the Dominican Republic, Boca Chica is located about 32 kilometers (20 miles) east of Santo Domingo. Along the long stretch of beach, visitors can find pizza stands, cafés, bars, souvenir stands, and other activities all while listening to festive music. Because of a coral reef’s protection, which breaks incoming waves, its waters are some of the calmest in the country and safer for those who may wish to swim.

Beach

Punta Cana

Punta Cana’s beach stretches for about 32 kilometers (20 miles), and the town has the largest concentration of all-inclusive resorts in the Caribbean. As the busiest and most-visited beach in the country, the town offers a number of activities such as organized water sports and nighttime parties. Those staying at a resort will have access to even more incentives such as unlimited food and cocktails.

Golf

Playa Rincón

Located on the Samaná Peninsula’s eastern shoreline, the variety of colors in the ocean provides one of Playa Rincón’s best features as the turquoise, blue, and green water make for amazing scenery. It also has a few small restaurants scattered along the beach for easy access to dining.

Cabarete

Known for its strong winds and big waves, Cabarete provides an ideal place for skilled surfers, windsurfers, and kiteboarders to visit. At night, it becomes a great place to dine, and tourists will find it to be one of the most budget-friendly places in the Dominican Republic.

Wind surfing

Playa Dorada

Located along the Amber Coast, Playa Dorada has a large concentration of all-inclusive resorts. This location is very popular for water-skiers and windsurfers. The waves from this beach come from the Atlantic, making it a popular destination for water-skiers, surfers, and windsurfers looking for higher waves.

Cayo Levantado

Both a small island and a beach located off the Semaná Peninsula’s southern coast, Cayo Levantado is known for its beautiful beaches and the thick, green jungle that surrounds them. A great option for those who want a quieter and tranquil experience, this beach remains fairly secluded and without many facilities. To get here, schedule a boat ride or a take a short ferry. Those who visit between January and March can also enjoy whale-watching tours.
