Named after the town of Brampton in Cumberland, England, the Canadian version has morphed from village to town and is now the ninth-largest city in Canada. Multicultural Brampton is home to ornate temples and churches as well as museums, leafy parks and festivals. The city hugs Toronto International Airport on the northwest end with neighboring Mississauga stretching towards Lake Ontario. Just 3mi (4.8km) from the Peel Art Gallery, Museum and Archives, you’ll find taking in a little culture easy staying at this extended-stay hotel. Many of the spacious suites are well designed with accessibility in mind – including visual alarm clocks for hearing impaired guests. Add in natural-themed decor with plenty of wood effects and neat kitchens and you see the appeal. Indoor and outdoor exercise options come in the form of the large indoor pool and fitness center – or you could simply run around with a ball in the grassy surroundings.

If you’ve driven – or hired – an electric car, get charging at the station in the car park so you can visit Victoria Park Arena soccer venue, just 2mi (3.2km) away.
