Head east along Queen Street and you’ll find Toronto’s quaint east side neighborhood referred to as ‘The Beaches’. Home to sandy shores, volleyball courts and the city’s boardwalk, The Beaches – made up of Balmy Beach, Scarboro Beach, Kew Beach and Woodbine Beach – is the perfect summer destination. With the shores of Lake Ontario to the south, The Beaches plays host to a number of cafés, boutique shops, ice cream parlors, pressed juice bars, restaurants, bars, and bakeries that line the streets as well as a series of events that take place during the warmer months.
