Hidden away in a rather inauspicious location, Prego Cucina Italiana is nevertheless a great, unpretentious Italian restaurant in Calgary’s downtown Eau Claire shopping centre. Once you make it inside, the place has a bright, airy interior and relaxed atmosphere. The menu is relatively simple, focusing on Italian classics like house made cannelloni and seafood risotto.

If you’re really looking to push the boat out, they also offer an l’abbuffata, a two to four course dinner option that includes both an assorted seafood and pasta appetizer, veal, beef and lamb entrée with sides and the daily special dessert.
