As one of Canada’s prettiest provinces, Nova Scotia shines in the summer months, when locals flock to beaches, historic lighthouses and nearby hiking trails before autumn sets in. This upscale B&B is in the quaint town of Wolfville. Behind its pale-blue Victorian facade there are 16 well-appointed rooms with four-poster beds, antique furnishings and deep tubs. For wine lovers, the Between the Vines package offers a full-day guided vineyard tour as well as a two-course lunch and cheese tasting.

Mahone Bay B&B is also located in the pretty village of Mahone Bay. It’s best visited in autumn when the leaves turn various shades of red, orange and gold. When you’re not taking in the quaint town, take time to marvel at the pale-yellow Victorian-era homestead with its gingerbread veranda. Rooms are modern, and decorated in white and blue hues. A welcome addition to Mahone Bay’s B&B scene, Kitch’inn prides itself on being a little different than your traditional bed and breakfast. Summer sees four-course lobster suppers served every Wednesday and Sunday evening, alongside live Celtic music. Rooms are luxe, with whirlpool tubs in the ensuites and local artwork adorning the walls. Breakfast changes daily, but expect fare such as goat cheese quiche, breakfast tacos, buddha bowls and whiskey porridge.
