Probably the most unique place to stay if you’re heading to Scotland for your vacation, this decommissioned Royal Navy helicopter has been totally transformed into a stunning hotel room by the very cool Helicopter Glamping company.

The ZA127 Sea King helicopter based in Stirling was first shown on Channel 4 show George Clarke’s Amazing Spaces, and is tipped to be the next big thing in luxury camping.

Despite its industrial looks on the outside, inside the interior is luxurious and cosy, complete with all the creature comforts you’d want from overnight accommodation, including a cute mini kitchen and a shower room.

Unlike with regular glamping there are plenty of unique features, including the star of the show – some very cool cockpit seating with incredible views over the beautiful Carse of Stirling, where you can enjoy the countryside while sipping on a glass of bubbly.

Another interesting element of the design is the single bed that’s been tucked into the helicopter’s tail, which is great for big kids and little ones alike; the accommodation can sleep a family of five in total.

The compact space has been decorated with white-painted wooden cladding to make the space feel bright and airy, plus plenty of natural light floods the room via a big sliding door, perfect for the summer months. Don’t worry if you’re planning a winter trip though, as Helicopter Glamping has ensured it’s well insulated.
