One of the stalwarts of Exmouth Market, Cafe Kick offers cocktails for a fiver every day of the week between 4pm-7pm. If you’re looking for a cheap beer after work, they start at £2.50 here and there’s tapas on hand to soak up the afternoon booze.

Kicking around in Soho early evening? You could do worse than find your way to Dirty Bones which lowers its cocktails prices to £5 between 5 and 7pm. The cocktails are canine themed (obviously) and we have a soft spot for the Deputy Dog (tequila, blood orange, mint, lime, Ting). If cocktails aren’t your thing then you can do 2-for-1 on beers.

You’re never that far from a London Cocktail Club which is good considering that between 4pm and 7pm, they offer two cocktails for £12 in their central London locations, and from 5pm to 8pm in their east London bars. They have seven venues across London, an enormous cocktail list and it’s always a party when you step in.

Over in Notting Hill and Brixton, Caribbean themed Rum Kitchen gets the party started early, every day of the week between 6-7pm or 6-8pm (depending on which branch you’re in). Cocktails are £5 during happy hour and we suggest sipping on a Rumbustion (their spin on a Pina Colada), before deciding where the night might take you.

Camino

The after work crowd on the South Bank tend to head over to Camino and there’s little surprise as to why. This lofty Spanish style bar has a courtyard, a downstairs Cava bar and more importantly, all draught beers, cocktails and wines are 2-for-1 on Monday to Friday between 4pm-6pm. Now that’s worth knocking off early for.

Pop to Peckham after work and find Bar Story – a hidden cocktail bar which serves up two cocktails for the tiny sum of £7; Monday to Saturday, between 6pm and 7 pm. Once you’ve got a table, we advise ordering a few rounds in before 7pm comes around it, it’s a super busy spot.

Simmons Mornington Crescent

Kooky cocktail bar chain, Simmons Mornington Crescent – retro furniture, VHS machines and Super Nintendo games – has one of the best happy hours we’ve seen. It’s five hours long for a start. Pop down to either their King’s Cross or Camden bars and get happy. From 4pm until 9pm Sunday-Friday and grab a glass or wine or a spirit and a mixer for £2.50 or two cocktails for a tenner. Wicked.
