Serving breakfast and brunch until 3:30pm every day – and 4pm on weekends – Same Same But Different is a relaxed and friendly place where you can tuck into everything from a delicious Full English to the ‘tastes too good to be this healthy’ Super Seed Granola.

Café Retro

Cafe, Tea , Fast Food, British

Set in the heart of the city overlooking Bath Abbey, Café Retro is a cool choice for a hearty breakfast. The menu is extensive and varied, including the traditional cooked breakfast options as well as American style pancakes, avocado on toast and Bath Buns. But for an indulgent treat, you must try one of their specialty Croques – the Croque Madame gets our vote!

Boston Tea Party

Cafe, Tea , Fast Food, British

Although this café is part of a chain, Boston Tea Party in Bath has bags of character and a fantastic breakfast/brunch menu. Inside it’s bright and cosy, but there is also plenty of outdoor seating so you can soak up the stunning Georgian architecture of the square. You can expect all the breakfast classics here (served all day), as well as some more unusual offerings like Sweetcorn Hash with halloumi and poached eggs, and sourdough eggy bread with smoked bacon and avocado.

Rosarios

Cafe, Coffee Shop, Italian, Vegetarian, Fast Food

Tucked away down an ancient backstreet you’ll find Rosarios – a cosy Italian café that serves a seriously good breakfast. Combing local produce and authentic Italian ingredients (think prosciutto and poached eggs), the all day breakfast menu promises to get your mouth watering. If you’re in a rush, grab one of the delicious fresh Italian pastries and an excellent cup of coffee to go.

Wild Café

With the motto ‘West is best’, Wild Café is proud of its West Country roots and produces tasty, simple food using the very best local ingredients. For a treat, why not wash it down with one of their signature Bloody Marys? Delicious!

As one of Bath’s most elegant places to enjoy breakfast, The Pump Room Restaurant is perfect for those who want to start their day in style. Served from 10am to noon, the brunch menu is small but perfectly formed, offering classics like Eggs Benedict, pancakes and maple syrup and hot buttered crumpets. Wash it all down with a healthy smoothie – or a prosecco cocktail, if you’re feeling fancy!

The Kingsmead Kitchen

Bistro, Cafe, Restaurant, European, British, Pub Grub

There’s no scrimping on quality ingredients here, with a focus on excellent food made using local produce. Cooked breakfasts are served all day and the menu has plenty of choice for vegetarians. The Kingsmead Kitchen have the usual classic full English (or veggie) breakfast but it’s the Shakshuka – a dreamy dish of eggs baked in a spicy tomato sauce, with feta cheese and sourdough bread – that has to be the stand out choice on the menu. Try it and you’ll be hooked!
