One of the most picturesque towns in Switzerland, Montreux has long been home to the rich and famous. Every July, thousands descend on the Swiss town on the shores of Lake Geneva to enjoy the Montreux Jazz Festival. Come winter, the ski resorts of Leysin, Les Mosses and La Lécherette are just over a 30-minute drive away. Located just a short walk from the town centre, take a meandering stroll along the lakeside promenade and look out for statue of singer Freddie Mercury.

There’s also a small brasserie which serves up French delicacies such as escargot (snails) and foie gras(duck/goose liver pate).
