If you’re heading to Mallorca on a stag do, chances are you hope to retell a story of how the groom ended up naked and tied to a palm tree. There is, of course, plenty else on offer beyond just getting smashed. Here are a few boozy and non-boozy ideas to help organise a do to remember…or not…

Set sail on a sunset booze cruise

Party from sunset to sunrise on one of Magaluf’s infamous booze cruises. Complimentary shots are literally fired down your mouth from the moment you hop on board the luxury boat. Dance the night away with 240 other revellers while the island’s top party DJs spin some summer house tunes and the hosts spur on some naughty drinking games. If you’re looking for an eventful night that the groom will dread being recounted in the the best man’s speech, this could be it.

Get wet and wild on a coasteering trip

Escape the hotel swimming pool and take the plunge in some memorable adventures on an adrenalin-fuelled coasteering trip. Guided experiences for the whole group combine adventure swimming, abseiling, cliff jumping, sea caving, zip lining and scrambling along rocky coastline. Every excursion is personally catered for, so there are also options for gentler activities such as snorkelling in refreshing turquoise waters if the hangovers are too much to handle.

Party posh in Puerto Portals

With its distinct similarities to Puerto Banus in Marbella, it’s easy to see why Puerto Portals is a popular nighttime hangout for the rich, famous, and yes, stag dos. The sophisticated port has a fine selection of restaurants and swanky bars dotted along the promenade, all with fantastic views of the super yachts bobbing on the water. Have a first-class curry at Mahal Tandoori with the lads, then join the glamorous crowd for cocktails at the open-air Ritzi Lounge. Finally, drag the boys up to the rooftop Sky Bar at the 5-star hotel, OD Port Portals, to dance the night away under the stars.

Explore the island on a Vespa

Channel your inner mod and hire yourselves a Vespa each for the day with Bullimoto. A guide delivers bikes directly to wherever you are on the island, gives a little lesson should it be needed, and then you’re good to go. Explore Mallorca’s winding coastal paths along the mountain range with the most beautiful scenic vistas, all while humming Born to be Wild and revving unnecessarily. Just be sure to set off on the adventure before any of the boozing begins.

Take a tipsy tour of the vineyards

For a more civilised day on the sauce, why not tour some of Mallorca’s numerous vineyards? Hop on the Train Gourmet Tour which whisks you around two wineries where you’ll sample some first class wines along with the best in Mallorcan delicacies including Jabugo jamón, cured cheeses, sobrassada, porc negra and coca de trampo. A more adventurous group may prefer the Cycle Gourmet Tour, where you can explore the beautiful vineyards more freely on your own two wheels in the foothills of the breathtaking Tramuntana mountains.

Go out in style in Magaluf

No stag trip is truly complete without at least one day spent in the notorious resort of Magaluf. Splash out on a VIP group bali-bed and drinks package at shorefront Nikki Beach Club or BH Mallorca for daytime partying with your whole group; the music is loud, the people are gorgeous and the pools are equally inviting. As day turns to night, the ‘strip’ is where it all goes down- take advantage of deals such as the Magaluf Club Pass which allows you entry into six popular clubs, the ability to queue jump and plenty of free drinks along the way. What it won’t guarantee, however, is the ability to find your way home at the end of it all.
