The Top 6 Late-Night Clubs in Barcelona
The Catalan capital has a reputation for having one of the best electronic music scenes in Europe, with world-famous festivals such as Sonár attracting some of the biggest DJs around. If you’re in Barcelona and looking to party until the early hours, check out these places for some of the best after-parties in town.
1. Macarena
The Macarena is renowned for being one of the smallest clubs in Barcelona and proof that size is not everything as the venue regularly attracts top electronic and techno DJs from across Europe. It’s small size creates a friendly, intimate atmosphere as you’re never more than a few meters away from the DJ booth, which is placed in the center of the dance-floor. The club is located down a small alley-way in the heart of the Gothic quarter so be sure to be quiet on your way in and out, if you don’t want to rile the bouncer.

The atmosphere here is decidedly different to that which you might find in the city’s many electro and techno clubs, while the crowd is usually a fun, friendly mix of locals and tourists. The venue is only open Thursdays through to Saturdays and guarantees a good laugh if you’re looking for epic rock ballads to sing-along to.
