Updated: 25 August 2017
The White Isle has been attracting the upper echelons of the glitterati, the super-rich, and A-list crowds for decades now, fuelling a demand for some seriously high-end accommodation. Here are some of the island‘s more outrageous luxury rentals for those with only the deepest of pockets.

Villa Tagomago Island

Why rent just a villa when you can have the whole island? In the centre of the small isle of Tagomago, just off Ibiza, is this five-bedroom luxury villa surrounded by stunning sea view terraces and a super-chic swimming pool. The bonus here is that when you rent the property, it comes with the private island, complete with staff that include a personal chef and waiter. The catch? It’ll set you back at least an eye-watering €85,000 (US$100,378) a week, so better get saving.

Villa Roca

Featuring panoramic views over Ibiza’s Old Town and out to the island of Formentera, Villa Roca boasts an exceptional setting – and that’s just the start. Its 32-metre (105-feet) swimming pool features waterfalls, a cave, floating cabana, underwater windows, and even a water mist system to cool down sunbathers on the poolside terrace. A dozen terraces and outdoor spaces provide uninterrupted sea views, while the villa’s master suite comes complete with its own private Jacuzzi lounge. Prices can reach around €70,000 (US$82,663) a week, but at least you can split that between up to 16 guests!

Villa Rica

For those looking for the optimum Ibiza party-pad, look no further than the aptly-named Villa Rica. Not only does it have its own nightclub, the space comprises a soundproofed bar with underwater windows, CD turntables, DJ mixer, and a banging sound and lighting system. Overlooking the Bay of Cala Jondal, the views are also pretty spectacular, and can be soaked up from the heated infinity pool, eight-person hot tub, or a rooftop cocktail and dining lounge. Post-party, you can detox in the sauna or steam room, or sweat it out in the gym. The villa sleeps up to 10 (in five bedrooms) with a price tag of up to €50,000 (US$59,045) for the week.

Villa Ixos

With over 800 square metres (8,611 square feet) of floor space spread over three levels, Villa Ixos is certainly one of the larger luxury villas on the island. The minimalist architecture is also swooningly stylish, with huge floor-to-ceiling windows making the most of stunning views overlooking San Antonio bay and its famous sunsets. The surrounding Mediterranean gardens are brimming with cacti, colourful flowers, and olive and lemon trees – perfect for that sundowner G&T on the rooftop terrace. There’s also pool of course, as well as a hammam, Jacuzzi, and state-of-the-art gym. Off season you can grab this villa for a bargainous €20,000 a week (US$23,616) off-season, though expect that to soar to a giddy €70,000 (US$82,663) at peak summertime.

Las Brias

For a luxury-level villa in a more traditional flavour, Las Brias is set in a typically Ibiza country-style house, with whitewashed walls, terracotta tiled floors, and exposed wood beamed ceilings. Its clifftop location not only means direct access to the waterfront, but also the exclusive use of a private boat to explore the picturesque Bay of Porroig surrounds. The pool is flanked on one side by a clifftop sun terrace offering one of numerous stunning sea views, and the other a row of miniature fountains, while the covered outdoor kitchen is perfect for alfresco dining and obligatory barbecues. A week’s lodging will set you back anything from around €19,500 (US$23,024) to €41,000 (US$48,407), and it sleeps up to 12 guests.

Can Tarba

Another lovely, and rather quirky, piece of contemporary architecture, Can Tarba has the look of an arrangement of white shoeboxes. Its clean-lined minimalism chimes beautifully with the surrounding manicured gardens that provide spectacular views of the surrounding Ibizan countryside. Interiors are also super-chic and scattered with colourful artworks, while sliding floor-to-ceiling glass windows create fabulously open-plan living, dining, and cooking areas. For cooler months there’s a cozy log fire lounge, and outside an outdoor fireplace includes a sunken sofa. Guest can also comfy-up in the cinema room, plus all bedrooms feature Apple TVs and iPod docking stations. Rates start at a ‘modest’ €14,000 (US$16,526) and peak at around €24,000 (US$28,338).

It’s also set within a private gated estate overlooking Ibiza Town with sweeping panoramic views from its infinity pool and alfresco Jacuzzi. Perfect for private parties, it features a basement bar with dance floor, professional DJ decks, and top-spec sound system. When the partying’s done there’s a home cinema for chilling, while for those preferring to spar it out, there’s even a boxing room.
