The owner and main chef Marius Rafa receives his customers with warmth and great food. Moreover, he has his own, secret recipe of shells that will make any customer go back for a second portion. Placed among the top preferences of both locals and tourists, Benjamin Steak House is the perfect choice for steak lovers. A friendly staff and excellent service come together with amazing food for a heavenly experience. Using only Black Angus beef from local producers, their meals are prepared with care and a lot of flavour. Some dishes you should not miss are the ribeye steak, tuna steak, beef tenderloin or, if you like spicy food, the spicy pepper burger. Enjoy their warm atmosphere and be delighted by the meat that just melts in your mouth.
At Kulinarium, the menu mixes Romanian specialities with international flavours, suiting varied tastes. Placed in a cosy location in the Little Square, the restaurant uses fresh, local products to prepare the meals, which are transformed into hearty plates. Taste the delicious goulash, a Hungarian speciality cooked with vegetables, meat and spices, and the peasant soup, served inside a bread bowl. For the Italian cuisine lovers, the menu features flavourful pizzas.
Located in an 18th-century building erected by Martin Hochmeister, the restaurant is a fusion of traditional and international cuisines. The staff is warm and very attentive, and the ambience is ideal if you are looking for a relaxing break and great food. Some not-to-miss dishes are the appetizing corn soup and the Flammkuchen, a Saxon speciality. For either a lunch with friends or dinner with your family, the restaurant is a great choice.
Located in an old wine cellar, Crama Sibiul Vechi is the place to have an awesome culinary experience with traditional Romanian food. Even if you are not hungry, their hearty meals will tempt you to explore Romanian cuisine. Their menu features the best tripe soup in town, bean soup, chicken in mustard sauce, smoked pork, sausage and polenta casserole, cabbage rolls and the absolutely delicious papanasi for dessert. All this in a rustic atmosphere, so you can have the full Romanian experience.
Tango Restaurant and Pub is a chic restaurant in the Little Square, right in the heart of the city. Their cuisine mixes Romanian food with Italian plates, offering a broad menu – pizza, pasta, salads, meat dishes, seafood, soups and the best lemonade in Sibiu. Their nice vibe attracts the locals, who recommend the shrimp with ginger sauce and grilled vegetables as a must-try. If you love Mediterranean food or if you are vegetarian, this is the place to choose in the beautiful city of Sibiu.
At Jacob Grill House, you are closer to nature and will be entranced by unique flavours. Located near the ASTRA Open-Air Museum, the restaurant’s menu features a wide range of dishes, mainly based on grilled specialities. Delicious burgers, luscious grilled meat and mouth-watering desserts await to amaze your taste buds. In summer, have a seat at their lovely terrace adorned with traditional decorations. And don’t miss the toothsome goulash.
Crama Ileana is situated in a wine cellar with rustic décor sculpted in wood and stone, adorned with traditional costumes, clay pots, wooden tables and chairs, and filled with exceptional woodcarving artistry. The wonderful traditional ambience and the delicious Romanian food transform a lunch at Crama Ileana into an authentic experience, with simple traditional meals from polenta with cheese and Transylvanian stew with onion and tomatoes to mici, a mix of minced pork, beef and lamb meat seasoned with garlic and pepper. Each filling meal is served on wooden platters and should be eaten only after a cup of tuica, the traditional plum brandy.
Having your coffee or tea at Arhiva de Cafea si Ceai is about harmony, peace, the best coffee and tea in town, traditional sweets and an intimate atmosphere. One of the locals’ favourites, the location has a unique design and an array of coffee and tea types from all over the world from which to choose. Take a book and spend a relaxing moment or travel around the world while enjoying every sip of your best-loved drink.
If you love Italian food, then don’t search for other restaurants in Sibiu. Go straight to Max. Their menu will transport you through Italy: fettuccini with forest mushrooms in truffle sauce, cream of baked peppers soup, tagliatelle with shrimp and courgettes. All the delicious dishes are served in a quirky ambience by nice waiters. In summer, they wait for you on their lovely terrace with great wines.
