Whether you’re an Irish native in the city, or just a fan of Irish whiskey and Guinness, celebrating St Patrick’s Day in Berlin is sure to delight. Jovial crowds, free-flowing booze and lively folk music at local Irish pubs will help you honour the Irish national holiday in style, while the official St. Patrick’s Festival promises plenty of traditional, cheerful and rowdy vibes. 1. St Patrick’s Festival Berlin

St Patrick’s Festival is the official and largest party to celebrate St Paddy’s Day in Berlin. Recently joining forces with Urban Spree at the RAW compound in Friedrichshain, the special day has a plentiful line-up of Irish food stalls, with all the classic favourites, including a few new vegan options, as well as lots of entertainment with an opening ceremony including a cameo from the Irish Ambassador to Germany, and free concerts from Berlin-based Irish musicians and dancers. Guinness and Bushmills Irish Whiskey support the event, so expect to join the jolly crowd with a pint in your hand. 2. MacLaren's Pub

MacLaren’s Pub is the How I Met Your Mother (HIMYM)-themed Irish pub located in the trendy neighbourhood, Friedrichshain.
