It is one of the most changed districts of former East Berlin after the reunification of Germany, having experienced rapid gentrification during the last few decades. Its now home to a large number of shops, cafés and restaurants and is a great location to enjoy a relaxed breakfast or brunch. Here’s our favorites.

Cafe Anna Blume is a charming corner decorated with flowers in Prenzlauer Berg. It has a nice view of the neighborhood and offers delicious breakfast and a delightful Sunday brunch. Some of the delicious breakfast options include croissants and a variety of egg dishes, as well as vegetarian and vegan options. The Sunday brunch includes a selection of breads, jams, spreads and cheeses. Try the Anna Blume Special for two or four people.

This certified organic Sicilian restaurant Pappa e Ciccia has a strong reputation, with nice simple furniture, lovely staff and great tastes. You have to make a reservation to enjoy its weekend brunch. But its worth the effort, with beautifully dressed vegetables, organic eggs with fresh herbs and bacon, as well as olives and bruschetta.
