Where To Find Great Après-Ski In Val d’Isère, France

Colette Lewis

There are few places in France that can rival the quality of Val d’Isère’s ski slopes, and with many bars and clubs across the town, post-piste folk are spoiled for choice too. We list the best spots for après ski in the streets of this lovely commune in the Alps.

Val D’isere

La Folie Douce

For the best party in town, there really are few better spots than La Folie Douce, a place that brings Ibiza-style festivities up to the mountains. With a restaurant serving great food along with superb bars, daily live shows, and fantastic music, all in a fun, chilled atmosphere, this is a brilliant establishment to blow off some steam.

Dick’s Tea Bar

With a warm and inviting atmosphere, Dick’s Tea Bar is the kind of place that skiers will wander into for a quick snack in the afternoon and be so enthralled by its charm that they stay until the early hours. This bar serves a range of comforting hot drinks, such as hot chocolate and mulled wine, as well as refreshing cocktails, complemented by some delicious bites to eat. The night’s entertainment is cool and professional, with live in-house musicians and a professional DJ, followed by a seriously fun night club later on.

For those in search of an unpretentious, personal atmosphere, Le Graal offers a great clubbing experience. Their fantastic Sunday nights make them one of the few LGBT-oriented clubs in Val d’Isère and adds to the overall feel of a friendly, hospitable establishment. As well as a good selection of drinks at the bar, especially of note are its superb burgers served all night.
