| © Sylvia Edwards Davis

The gentle sands of Le Touquet play host to a new breed of beach cafés offering a perfect place to chill out with a drink or a light meal and enjoy the splendid view. There’s always plenty to see and do in this stylish resort with a mix of Anglo-French flair, and you’re never far from a sensational foodie spot to sample the mouthwatering local seafood.

O'safran

Bar, Restaurant, Cafe, Pub Grub

Chilled and relaxed, great background music, directly on the beach, with lovely deck chairs and tables. The menu includes salads and gourmet open and hot sandwiches as well as a handsome selection of beers and wines. Sweeter items include smoothies, brownies, and ice cream.

Plage des Pirates

Cafe, Restaurant, Cocktail Bar, Contemporary

With a contemporary feel, incredible views, and all of Le Touquet’s great beach shacks, Plage des Pirates is right on the sand. The restaurant offers cocktails and casual meals, served with flair. If the service seems slow, keep in mind that it may very well be that they are letting you enjoy a relaxing time and don’t want to disturb your flow.

Waikiki Beach

Cafe

Friendly and casual, this beach café is adjacent to a popular children’s play area, perfect for parents to keep an eye on their little ones while sipping on a healthy smoothie or having a snack.

Le Sand

Cafe, Restaurant, Cocktail Bar, French

Fabulous beach café on the northern end of Le Touquet strip. Contemporary feel in the décor and music as well as and choice of cocktails and menu, including tempting cheese and charcuterie boards to share. Right next to the Dunes Nature Preserve, a perfect spot to end your hike and relax watching the sun setting on the ocean.

Restaurant Perard's Bar à huitres

Fishmonger, Restaurant, Seafood

Restaurant Perard’s Bar à huitres is an institution in Le Touquet, with a well-deserved reputation for the best seafood in town. For a more casual approach, enter through the fishmonger shop on Rue de Metz, and you’ll find the more informal counter of the oyster bar—opening right on the sidewalk—serving caviar, lobster, oysters, and the most fantastic prawns.

Planète Océan

Fishmonger, Restaurant, Seafood

It is a local tradition to buy your fish fresh on the fishermen’s waterside market stalls from the boat in neighbouring Étaples. Planète Océan, located right on the pier upstairs, offers delicious ultra-fresh simple fish and seafood dishes at reasonable prices with friendly and quick service. A more informal tapas bar/seafood shack is located on the ground level, and it serves everything from oysters to moules frites and seafood boards to share for very reasonable prices.
