Hamsa Yoga Studio
Hamsa Yoga Studio offers Vinyasa and Hatha classes every day — even on the weekends — from morning until late in the evening. No matter if you’re a beginner or an intermediate student, you’ll find a class that suits you as there are two different levels of intensity. All sessions start with a short meditation and a centering, while the sound of music or a reading of a couple of beautiful poems fill the room. For a drop-in class the price is DKK150 (US$21).
Ashtanga Yoga Studio
At Ashtanga Yoga Studio, you can practice yoga in the traditional Mysore method. Age or experience doesn’t play a role, as teachers will guide you through the Ashtanga series pose by pose. Classes take place from Monday to Friday, while on Saturdays the practice is repeated and trained in the rhythm and connection of movement and breath (Vinyasa). Ashtanga Yoga studio also offers an open space, which you can use for self practice, without a teacher present. A drop-in class costs DKK125 (US$18).
B.K.S Iyengar Yoga Center Copenhagen
Located at one of the most beautiful locations in Copenhagen, just by Dronning Louises Bro, B.K.S Iyengar Yoga Center Copenhagen offers classes and has a view to the Nørrebro lakes. All teachers have many years of experience and hold international certificates in Iyengar yoga. You can join a yoga class from Monday to Saturday, but if you’re a beginner, drop in on a Tuesday or a Thursday (10:00a.m. to 11:30a.m.), when the training is designed for those who just started exploring the yoga philosophy. The price for one class is DKK150 (US$21).
YogaCentralen
YogaCentralen hosts classes of different yoga styles including Hatha, Kundalini, Yin yoga, Iyengar, Vinyasa and power yoga. These are all taught by experienced teachers and cater for different levels, seven days a week. After class you can enjoy a vegetarian meal in the dining area, but make sure to book a place in advance. Yogacentralen is a bilingual center, which means you can enjoy your favorite class without struggling to understand the Danish words. A one-time class costs DKK145 (US$20) but if you’re planning to train three times, the price is DKK375 (US$53).
Yoga på Vesterbro
Located in one of the most hippy districts in Copenhagen, Yoga på Vesterbro is an asset to the neighborhood. Offering a variety of styles (Hatha, Vinyasa, Kundalini, Yin yoga and Meditation and Mindful Hatha), workshops and treatments, this place has classes suitable for everyone, regardless of their experience and taste. All classes can be taught in English and the number of students can not exceed 22. So, if you’re planning to attend a session, it’s a good idea to book a place beforehand. If you change your mind, make sure to cancel it three hours before the class begins. Otherwise, you must pay DKK25 (US$3.55). The price for a drop-in class is DKK120 (US$17).
Bikram Yoga Copenhagen
With two large yoga rooms in a 456m² studio and 54 classes taking places per week, Bikram Yoga Copenhagen is the largest Bikram yoga studio in town. A drop-in class costs DKK200 (US$28) but there are special intro packages for new students in the studio. The 10 Day Life Saver is DKK275 (US$39), 30 Day Life Saver is DKK575 (US$82) or the 60 Day Life Saver is DKK975 (US$139). Moreover, every Friday at 7p.m. a donation class takes place and only a DKK50 (US$7) fee is required. Experience isn’t important at Bikram Yoga Copenhagen; everybody is welcome in every class. The studio is open every day from morning until late in the evening.
Streetyoga
The Streetyoga studio is located on Blågårdsgade, one of the most scenic neighborhoods in Nørrebro. Flow and Relax yoga classes start daily from morning and are available until late in the afternoon. Your first time at the studio is free; so if you want to discover if yoga is for you, just come by any day of the week. Sometimes, when the sun shines, teachers and students grab their yoga mats and head to the city’s parks to practice Dandasana, while soaking up some light.
