San Juan, the vibrant capital of Puerto Rico, is rich in historical relics from the Spanish colonial era, such as mighty harbor forts and the beautiful terraces of the Old Town – but it’s also a modern city with a buzzing nightlife and superb restaurants. Budget-friendly doesn’t necessarily mean a compromise on luxury; from colonial heritage to modern upscale stays, here are the best.
