Being a central business district in the Philippines, Taguig is home to a number of high-rise office buildings, sleek condominiums, and luxurious shopping malls which are particularly found in the upscale locale of Bonifacio Global City (BGC). Shopping in Taguig City means heading over to its financial and lifestyle district called BGC. Here, you’ll find endless selections – a mix of essentials and luxurious wares plus international food stores found nowhere else in Metro Manila. On top of that, you’ll be treated with unusual architectural design, unique shopping experiences, and Instagrammable spots!
Venice Grand Canal
Inspired by Venice, one of the world’s most romantic cities, this shopping mall is a top destination for date nights. They have a man-made Grand Canal which will remind you of the luxurious Venetian vibe. Whether you opt to try a Gondola ride or enjoy the Italian-inspired structure, you’ll surely love the place’s intricate details, unique ambiance and warm pastel colors. No wonder it has become a top Instagrammable spot in Taguig City. But aside from shopping and dining, there are lots of activities to enjoy – watch live performances, catch a movie in their exquisite Cineplex, or simply feed the pigeons.
SM Aura Premier
At first glance, SM Aura Premier catches the attention of passersby with its unusual architectural style and unique design. This distinguishing landmark got its name from the chemical symbols of the opulent Gold element (AU) and earthly Radium (RA). The shopping mall also stays true to its name – shops and interiors that exhibit an aura of elegeance, luxury, and impeccable style. For a different kind of dining experience, head over to the mall’s Sky Park, a green rooftop park where you can choose from numerous alfresco bars, cafés, and restaurants.
Bonifacio High Street
Bonifacio High Street is the first of its kind in the Philippines – a street retail concept. Instead of a large mall housing the shops and restaurants, this mall has four sections. The first two sections allow customers to experience open-air shopping, whereas the third and fourth block consist of both open-air and indoor commercial buildings known as “High Street Central.” Bonifacio High Street is also the place-to-be for people who are fond of designer brands and flagship stores. And apart from high-end retail shopping, you can also find the country’s first 4DX cinema here.
Uptown Mall is the newest upscale shopping mall in Taguig City. It’s a five-story commercial building that houses high-end retail stores and numerous foreign brands. Apart from providing customers a luxurious shopping experience, the restaurants found here offer international cuisine – perfect for foreign shoppers and locals who’d like to try unique delicacies. Also boasting a Las Vegas-style water feature and lifestyle tower, Uptown Mall is aiming to “redefine” luxurious shopping and entertainment within the country’s highly-urbanized city.
Ayala Malls Market! Market!
If you’re looking for great finds and a variety of selections at affordable prices, head on over Ayala Malls’ Market! Market! Unlike the four malls mentioned above, it’s accessible to public transportation and is people-friendly – people from all walks of life shop and dine here. It has also become a favorite go-to place among thrift shoppers. That’s because this is the only mall in Taguig where you’ll find themed bazaars, a hawker’s market, and a lot of bargain stores – so you get to learn and experience haggling comfortably!
