The Silver Naga Hotel is home to Yoga in Vang Vieng, which offers two classes daily in the studio on the second floor. An infinity pool surrounded by lounge chairs and hammocks has a front-row view of the Nam Song and karst mountains. The 84 guest rooms are family-friendly and the hotel offers a 24-hour front desk staff and a business centre for those travelling for work.

The 38 guest rooms at Inthira Vang Vieng each have balconies overlooking the Nam Song River and the mountains beyond. Breakfast is included and guests receive 10% off all food ordered from the restaurant. The Phadeng Function room hosts weddings, gatherings and meetings. The hotel has partnered with eco-tourism company Green Discovery to help guests plan tours and excursions around town.

The Elephant Crossing Hotel in Vang Vieng has 31 guest rooms and is partners with Silver Naga Hotel. The riverside bar has a buy-one-get-one-free happy hour each night and great views of the boats coming down the river. A partnership with Les Artisans Lao offers aromatherapy and fair-trade products for guests to use and sells additional products at reception. Rent a bicycle from the front desk to explore, enjoy a dip in the pool or book a massage at the spa.

You’ll be hard-pressed to find a more beautiful landscape than the mountain backdrop and the rice fields at Vieng Tara Villa. The 3-star hotel is across the river from the main town of Vang Vieng but is still within walking distance over the bamboo bridge in the dry season and the toll bridge year-round. 14 private cabins have modern luxuries such as air conditioning, flat-screen TVs, a refrigerator. 5. Amari Vang Vieng

Amari Vang Vieng, run by Thailand’s Onyx Hospitality Group is brand new to Laos as of 2017. Two other Amari hotels are set to open in Vientiane and Pakse in 2020. This 160-guest room resort hotel offers babysitting services, a full-service spa, workout facilities and a pool. Check out Essence Restaurant or grab a coffee and snack at the Cascade coffee shop on the premises.

6. Vansana Vang Vieng Hotel

Vansana Vang Vieng is a 3-star hotel with an outdoor pool and 70 guest rooms overlooking the Nam Song. This Lao-based chain has properties in Luang Prabang, Vientiane and on the Plain of Jars. Guests enjoy free breakfast and WiFi throughout the property. An 80-person meeting room is available for events. Grab a snack at the pool bar or have dinner at the restaurant and take in the spectacular views.

7. Vang Vieng Plaza Hotel

The Vang Vieng Plaza Hotel is a 4-star hotel with 80 guest rooms that has an outdoor pool and is nestled in the downtown area within walking distance of many bars, restaurants and shops that Vang Vieng has to offer. Opened in 2017, it has yet to stand the test of time but the staff is friendly and helpful. The hotel offers visas on arrival in preparation for visitors who will continue on to Vietnam after leaving Laos.
