Real Coffee and Tea Café

Pair freshly brewed coffee with their legendary calamansi muffin

Founded in 1996 by Italian-American mother and daughter team Lee and Nadine Rosaia, Real Coffee and Tea Café were one of the first on the island to serve coffee, tea and pastries. Lee first came to Boracay in 1989 when the beaches were pristine and full of palm trees, falling deeply in love with it. It does not have the same amenities of a modern café, such as internet access and air-conditioning. The native hut is made of woven bamboo walls and wood, filled with shelves stacked with books and magazines. The all-day breakfast menu is popular among travellers, where one can choose from the fluffy omelettes, pancakes, and sandwiches. Their best seller is their iconic calamansi muffin: golden brown, moist and infused with a local calamansi citrus.

Café del Sol

Enjoy freshly brewed coffee while your toes are in the sand

Located at the beachfront of D’mall since 2003, Café del Sol is the brainchild of Juan Elizalde and Paolo Occhionero. It provides a wide array of coffee-based beverages that have fuelled regular patrons and travellers for years. The beauty of the café lays in its al fresco dining, which lets you enjoy the view of the ocean with the sand in between your toes. On humid days there’s an option to dine indoors with the air-conditioning on full blast. From Italian espressos, blended cream coffee frappes, tea and fruit juices, the café also serves set breakfast meals and light snacks throughout the day. Remember to leave room for their legendary mango cheesecake.

Coffee Bloom

The only hand drip coffee on the island

Located along the White Beach path, Station 3, this underrated coffee shop has spectacular views of the beach. It is one of the only hand-drip coffee shops around. If you’re feeling peckish, their in-house sandwiches are top-notch fuel.

Nagisa Coffee Shop

Visit Nagisa Cafe to satisfy your Japanese food and coffee cravings

Carved out of a mahogany tree and woven bamboo, Nagisa is a Japanese coffee shop that is a perfect place to catch the sunset. Other than its superb brewed coffee, it is also known for serving Japanese staples such as ramen, sushi and crispy tempura.

Bo’s Boracay

Savor the flavor of homegrown coffee beans from the Philippines

Founded by Steve Benitez in Cebu in 1996, this home-grown coffee shop promotes local coffee beans from different regions of the Philippines. Bo’s sources its fresh coffee from the northern town of Sagada, and in the Mindanao regions of Bukidnon and South Cotabato. This highly successful enterprise has expanded to over 90 branches nationwide – however, the Boracay coffee shop is by far the branch with the best view.

Sunny Side Café Boracay

Start the day right with brewed coffee overlooking spectacular views

Known for its all-day breakfasts that represent the perfect fusion of Filipino and American cuisines, the Sunny Side Café also offers one of the best brewed coffees on the island. Located along White Beach, pair your espresso with an order of their fluffy pancakes – good enough for two!

Lemoni Cafe Boracay

Order all-day breakfast at Lemoni Cafe

Cure your hangover at this refreshing open-sided venue tucked inside D’mall. The classy café specialises in brunch and serves breakfast all day and every day, so expect the coffee to be good. Indulge in their classic eggs Benedict or lemon tart after your caffeine fix.

Starbucks Café Boracay

This two-storey building offers friendly and attentive staff with an open-air veranda on its second floor. If you know what you want, the Starbucks Café in Boracay gives access to the standard coffee fare that you’re used to back home. However, the views of the white sandy beach and turquoise-coloured ocean set this spot apart from the rest of its locations worldwide.
