Mirante do Morro da Lagoa da Conceição

This lookout right above the largest and most expansive lake in Florianópolis is popular with tourists, but that shouldn’t stop you from joining the crowds and snapping a selfie here. With a spectacular view of the lake, dunes and the ocean, this is by far the easiest, most accessible place to get a panoramic view.

For an equally lovely panoramic view that requires a little more leg work, head to the eastern side of the island and climb up the dunes at Joaquina Beach. These gorgeous sands offer sweeping views of the dunes and the beach, and are especially lovely at sunset.

As tranquil as the views are from the less developed side of the island, the city views are equally stunning, especially at the appropriately named club, The Roof located on Beira Mar Norte. This place has become a sensation in Florianópolis and is set within the Majestic Palace Hotel. It’s the perfect spot to take in the bay views and city lights of Florianópolis.
