Armadale, Malvern and Toorak are not typically synonymous with a teeming night life, however, there are a few gems hidden within the suburbs. Whether it’s a few beers after work, cocktails and dancing or a first date bar you’re after, Malvern has a lot more to offer than you might expect.

1. Remy Bar de Taps y Vino

This little restaurant and bar is a hidden highlight of Glenferrie Road. The bustling atmosphere, inviting décor and live music on weekends will have you wondering if you’ve stepped into a tapas bar in Spain itself. The extensive wine and cocktail list caters for everyone, with selections ranging from Spain to Australia. Perfect for a date night or just a few drinks with friends, Remy’s is a must visit for any Malvern local.

The atmosphere is bustling on a Friday night and a bit more relaxed during the week. The bar is great for a night out for those in the mood for something completely different.

Eden is a classic Melbourne café, though it breaks the mold with beer on tap and wine available until 4pm everyday of the year. The bar has an extensive selection of wine and staff with an unmatched knowledge of what they’re pouring. Wine tasting evenings and dinner sessions are regular occurrences.
