Originally a power station in the 1920s, the Brisbane Powerhouse is now a cultural hub in New Farm. The gallery hosts 1,250 performances and events per year, including music acts, comedy, dance, film and digital arts. Powerhouse also organises the annual Brisbane Street Arts Festival, a citywide, outdoor festival held early in the year that showcases some of the best street art Brisbane has to offer.
