Visiting Queensland can be expensive and feel overwhelming at times – let’s face it, we’re a big state (in a big country!) and long way from home for a lot of you. We’ve rounded up some of the coolest hostels in Queensland to save you some cash but definitely won’t mean you sacrifice on the experience.

Gilligan’s Backpackers Hotel and Resort

Located in the heart of Cairns, Gilligan’s boasts a short walk to heaps of cafes, nightclubs, Rusty’s Market and more. In the Cairn’s heat, you’ll make the most of the massive pristine pool and cheap $5 meals. Daintree Crocodylus

If you’re up in the north and want to see as much of the lush tropical landscape in its natural environment, this eco-friendly, safari style group accommodation is a great option. Daintree Crocodylus offers a heap of experiences, including an amazing two day sea-kayaking expedition to the amazing Snapper Island.

If hanging at base camp is more your style, enjoy the pool and relax in the common areas.

Gagaju Bushcamp
