Niji Restaurant & Bar

Niji Restaurant and Bar offers both contemporary and traditional Japanese food, combining Japanese dishes with Western ingredients. The interior has a wood ceiling to emulate a traditional Japanese restaurant, and their dishes are meant to be shared. They also offer a sushi bar and an outdoor seating area.

Saké

Saké restaurant has two locations in Sydney, with one restaurant in Double Bay and the other in The Rocks. Both restaurants serve excellent contemporary Japanese cuisine, and their menu offers creative and innovative dishes that are always changing. Flying Fish Restaurant & Bar

Located on the edge of Jones Wharf is the Flying Fish Restaurant & Bar, which has floor-to-ceiling windows with views of the water. The view is especially spectacular at night – with sparkling lights hanging down from the ceiling and a rustic-chic interior, the restaurant is intimate and romantic. Although the prices are steep, this is the perfect location for a special occasion.

Tetsuya’s

One of the most famous restaurants in the world, Tetsuya’s is the ultimate diner’s paradise. The restaurant has been featured on S. Pellegrino’s list of ’50 Top Restaurants,’ and the food choices consist of a 10-course degustation menu. Their cuisine is based on using natural seasonal ingredients and preparing the cuisine with French techniques. In addition to their 10-course meal, they offer an accompanying wine list.

Boathouse on Blackwattle Bay

For a different type of night out, come to Boathouse on Blackwattle Bay. The restaurant is located in a converted boathouse right on the water, so you can see across Blackwattle Bay to the Anzac Bridge and Sydney Fish Market. The restaurant specializes in oysters, but also offers other seafood dishes. The intimate and romantic atmosphere makes this a great place for a special night out. Be sure to make a reservation in advance.
