The Best Quiet Spots for Studying And Co-working in Syndey
If you’re looking for a place to concentrate on work or to get some studying done, you have plenty of options in Sydney – from libraries to shopping centres and everything in between. We’ve picked our favourite spots.
Westfield Sydney
Market, Food Court
Most people come here to shop and the place is crazy busy at lunch, but during those in-between hours the food court at Westfield is a great place to set up shop for a few hours. Conveniently located in the heart of the city, it’s only a stone’s throw from train stations and buses. They also offer free Wi-Fi and there is no entrance fee, making this option the best if you’re on a budget.
Surry Hills Library
Building, Library
The funky Surry Hills Library building has won a number of design awards and it is no surprise why – it has a huge glass facade that welcomes in plenty of sunlight and beautiful views, making it a very peaceful place to get some work done. Spanning over four floors, it is also easy to snag a seat. The library is located on the bustling Crown Street, which is home to some of the city’s best coffee shops and eateries where you can fuel up on caffeine for a productive day ahead.
Gertrude & Alice Café
Cafe
This cute-as-a-button place is a café and bookshop hybrid. The front half of the Hall Street store is where the kitchen is located – where many people come and go to pick up coffees and food to go – while out the back you can find communal or private tables. Inside, you can get cosy on one of the armchairs and get some reading done – being surrounded by walls covered in books will make it hard not to feel studious!
The Hub
The Hubis your quintessential start-up co-working space. It has an open plan design with an industrial flare, and features all the creative office must-haves, including AstroTurf rugs and a ping pong table in the middle. The office is always full of interesting entrepreneurs with plenty of buzz and atmosphere, making for a vibrant work space.
