The Sardine Room

The Sardine Room is one of Sydney’s most popular restaurants, offering a wide variety of seafood dishes at affordable prices. The atmosphere of the restaurant is casual and professional, and the interior of the restaurant is very elegant and allows for an intimate dining experience. The restaurant also offers outdoor seating and is known for its friendly service.

Monopole

From award winning Chef of the Year Brent Savage. and Sommelier of the Year Nick Hildebrandt comes Monopole. Monopole offers modern European food and also offers more than 500 rare wines. The interior was designed by the famous Melbourne architect Pascale Gomes-McNabb, and features dark woods and industrial metals, which makes the atmosphere modern and elegant. The restaurant takes reservations, but reserves half of the restaurant for walk ins.

The Apollo Restaurant

The Apollo Restaurant offers modern Greek cuisine, which is cooked over a wood and charcoal stove. The restaurant is spread out between a banquette, outdoor seating, and a chef’s table. Chef Jonathan Barthelmess has proven himself as one of Australia’s best upcoming chefs and offers a unique take on traditional Greek dishes. The interior of the restaurant includes concrete and marble, which lends itself to a modern-industrial atmosphere.

Popolo

Restaurant, Italian

Popolo restaurant offers authentic Italian food. The name Popolo means people, and the restaurant lives up to their name. Their motto is that the restaurant was built for the people ‘from the people who supply, prepare, and serve the food to those who come to eat it,’ and they offer authentic and simple dishes influenced by southern Italy. The restaurant also offers an extensive wine list.

Gypsy Espresso

If you’re looking for a casual and local café, look no further than Gypsy Espresso. This small and intimate café is a favorite of locals and serves some of the best coffee in Sydney. They also offer breakfast, lunch, and tasty sandwiches. This is the perfect place to grab a quick lunch with friends. Be sure to try their roast salmon or beetroot relish sandwich for lunch.

LL Wine & Dine offers award winning contemporary Asian cuisine. The restaurant is inspired by the Hong Kong bar scene and has been named Favorite Bar by Good Food Guide. Yellow

Yellow offers modern European cuisine at affordable prices, and they have an extensive wine list to pair with their menu. The building itself is steeped in history – in the 1950’s the historical Yellow House was used as an art gallery and welcomed artists such as Brett Whiteley, George Gittoes, and many more.

The Fish Shop

Cape Cod, The Hamptons, and Nantucket come together to inspire the Fish Shop restaurant. The restaurant aims to bring a little bit of classic American beach dining to Sydney, and offers fresh and locally caught fish on their menu. Sit back, relax, and enjoy a cold beer with their delicious fish and chips. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very casual, and the décor is trendy with character.

Bay 88

Bay 88 is truly a local restaurant – they know customers by name and what they like. The friendly staff makes sure that everyone feels at home here, and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. This casual and relaxed atmosphere is perfect for brunch or lunch, and the restaurant offers traditional Australian cuisine and brekkie staples.

Manta Restaurant

A short way away from Elizabeth Bay lies Manta Restaurant, but trust us, the restaurant is worth the trek. The restaurant boasts incredible vies and is located right on the Sydney Harbor waterfront. Their menu consists of mouth-watering seafood and steak, and they also offer a separate vegetarian or vegan menu. Their weekend specials are a great deal and include either a two or three course meal with a glass of wine for $49 AUS or $59 AUS, respectively. This restaurant is perfect for a special night out.
