Redfish Rick’s Neighborhood Grill began as a gas station diner, specializing in hot, home-cooked meals created for people with an on-the-go lifestyle. Owner Rob Pociask named the restaurant to honor his brother who passed away. Since it’s conception, the restaurant has moved to a more centrally located plaza in Pt. St. Lucie. Try the bacon wrapped shrimp over a fried grit cake with bacon gravy, or for breakfast try the breakfast burrito.

Lily’s Cafe

Lily’s Cafe is a quaint, 1950s style diner serving breakfast and lunch all day, as well as delicious home made cakes and desserts. Known for their excellent breakfasts, the restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor seating along with an old-fashioned jukebox. For breakfast, choose the old style French toast topped with bananas and whipped cream, or the eggs Benedict Oscar with lumped crab meat.

Fernando’s Dockside Grille

Fernando’s Dockside Grille offers a mixture of New England, Portuguese and Mediterranean fare. Inside the quaint, newly constructed Spanish colonial style building, there is a dozen tables dressed in white, some of which are situated on the cobblestone patio next to the St. Lucie River. Highly recommended from the menu is the bacalhau a braz, consisting of a boneless, salted cod finely flaked and battered with thin fried potatoes, scrambled eggs and extra virgin Portuguese olive oil, garnished with kalmata olives and roasted peppers. Pair this with a local Portuguese beer or wine.

Berry Fresh Cafe

Berry Fresh Cafe is open for breakfast and lunch and serves menu items that are both organic and sourced locally. There’s always a wait for a spot at the weekend as it’s one of the most popular breakfast joints in the region. Start with the blueberry fritters – specially crafted donuts rolled in sugar and spice – then move to the French toast, which is rolled in cornflakes, stuffed with Nutella, and covered in bacon pieces and caramel drizzle. Accompany the meal with mimosas, loose-leaf tea or coffee.

GOMA’s Chef Kohel Kurasawa was born in Japan and uses his native skills to serve up some of the best the best sushi and other Japanese cuisine on Florida’s Treasure Coast. Tucked away in a nondescript strip mall near the intersection of Bayshore and Port St Lucie Drive, Chef Kurasawa works with worldwide specialty vendors to bring the freshest and most quality fish available to the Treasure Coast. Try the udon noodle shrimp tempura soup, the spicy tuna roll, spider roll, red dragon roll or the bento box.

Lola’s Seafood Eatery

Lola’s Seafood Eatery is a chef-owned joint serving a New England style menu and New Bedford seafood. Food is ordered at the counter and served at the table. There is nothing fancy going on in here, just fresh, quick and tasty seafood made-to-order. Recommended from the menu: coconut crusted grouper, soft shell crab sandwich, clam bellies, fried oysters, and shrimp tacos.

Tavola Pizza

Tavola Pizza makes daily fresh bread and made-to-order hand tossed wraps and salads. A surf theme resonates throughout the cozy, contemporary pizzeria, as the owners pride themselves on being part of the community and sponsoring events like local fishing tournaments and surfing contests. The walls are decorated in art from local artists, whose portion of the proceeds goes directly to a local school’s art program. Try the garlic knots, marinated portabello and the green room, mavericks and blue crush pizzas.

Milk N’ Things

Milk N’ Things is an old-fashioned grocery store and deli, carrying beer, wine, cigarettes, bagels, fresh meat by the pound, milk and more. Owned and operated by Jeff and Jeremiah Baron, this family store has comfortable patio dining and offers friendly service. Try the Cuban sandwich, Sunday’s biscuits and gravy, roast beef sub, Monte Crisco and potato salad. Accompany this with an old fashioned bottle of root beer or a cream soda.
