Lubbock is an unexpected gem that sits in the northwest panhandle of Texas. There’s plenty here to keep you busy with historical sites, theater, and ballet. Lubbock was the hometown of rocker Buddy Holly, and the Buddy Holly Center is a must-see with the Fine Arts Gallery located inside. There’s plenty of food and drink options with local craft beers and wine tastings from Texas wineries making juice from the High Plains area.
