Diners can choose between a handmade flour or corn tortilla, a salad, wrap or bowl to enjoy with their choice of filling. Go for the slow roasted pork with jack cheese, roasted corn, minced onion, cilantro and salsa combination for a meal to remember. The vegetarian option of tofu, shredded Napa cabbage, romaine lettuce, purple onion, cucumber, crispy wonton strips, mango relish and Thai peanut dressing is just as delicious.
A great value restaurant that knows how to cook a great burger, Christakis Burgers is an award-winning restaurant. The menu features several variations of burgers, sandwiches and hot dogs. The classic Christakis burger, topped with pastrami and cheese, is an absolute must-try on your first visit and goes perfectly with a side of chili–cheese fries and a salad. Christakis also offers its hungrier customers the choice to upgrade to a jumbo burger or to a dinner plate of steak, catfish or gyro, served with a choice of fries, toast, salad or gravy. Lisa West’s Double Nickel Steakhouse
Serving the very best Texas steaks and the highest quality seafood, Lisa West’s Double Nickel Steakhouse has been named one of the top ten steakhouses in the state of Texas. Stop by for a 16 ounce ribeye cooked to perfection in a 1800 degree broiler, or feast on a mouth-watering tender Australian rack of lamb. Seafood lovers will enjoy the variety of fresh dishes offered including, Chilean sea bass, double nickel salmon and Australian cold water lobster. To accompany the exquisite food, the Double Nickel Steakhouse also has one of the most extensive wine lists in the state. Diners can choose between a grand selection of fine domestic and imported wines and for those that prefer something stronger, the restaurant’s mixologists are on hand to whip up just the beverage.
Cocina de la Sirena, translating to ‘the kitchen of the mermaid,’ is known for its Spanish-style small and large platos (dishes). For a dish you can’t fault, the poblano fries are a must-try starter, or small dish, followed by the stacked enchiladas for your main, or large dish. Alternatively, indulge in a tapas-style meal by sampling a variety of their platos pequeños and grandes. To quench your thirst, Mexican Coca Colas are on offer here as well.
Orlando’s Italian Restaurant
The longest standing full service restaurant in Lubbock, Orlando’s Italian Restaurant is a true favorite among locals who can’t get enough of the chef’s authentic Italian dishes and innovative Tex-Italian creations. A great place to go as a family, the atmosphere at Orlando’s is always upbeat and welcoming and the simple Italian approach to cooking ensures that there is a dish to appeal to even the fussiest of eaters. To experience what Tex-Italian cooking really is, order the down-n-dirty tortellini to start, the green chile chicken linguine for main course and a margatini (amaretto and tequila based cocktail) to drink.
