Urban Harvest Farmers Market provides the city with fresh vegetables, fruits, flowers, dairy products, and more every Saturday. Urban Harvest supports local growers from family farms, as well as community gardens, hobbyists, and even school gardens. Aside from delicious fresh food, the farmer’s market is a great opportunity for the whole family to learn about the food they eat and how it makes its way to the plate. Unfortunately, Fido has to stay at home, but he’ll appreciate the yummy treat you pick up for him. Aside from farmers markets, Urban Harvest has several programs designed to spread awareness about sustainability and nutrition, and inspire a green thumb in everyone.
