Thankfully for beer lovers, there are a few exceptional bars in El Paso. Whether you are in town for business or leisure, take a break and make your way down to check them out. Here is a list of our favorites.

DeadBeach Brewery

Quality craft beer at its finest, DeadBeach Brewery is known for its unique and bold flavors. Located near the Union Plaza of downtown El Paso, the brewery’s enthusiasm comes from its love for the city and its community. The brewery keeps its ingredients local. Honey extracted from a honey farm located in Fabens (a 20-minute drive away) is used when crafting the brewery’s Honey Badger beer. The brewery rotates its special brews and always keeps eight on draft. The Abuelita Stout is a must. Happy to share knowledge of craft beer with the community, the brewers at DeadBeach often host Beer 101 courses.

The Hoppy Monk

Bar, Pub, Gastropub, Pub Grub, American

The Hoppy Monk could very well be beer heaven. This gastropub carries 70 beers on draft as well as 70 beers bottled and canned. If it wasn’t for work and all of your other adult responsibilities, you could spend the whole day here. Along with its vast array of beer, the Hoppy Monk offers artisanal spirits, fine scotch, and cigars. If you can’t make the stop in El Paso, the Hoppy Monk has a second location in San Antonio, TX.

Block – Table & Tap

Block – Table & Tap features 30 beers on draft and more than 100 different beers bottled and canned. This is the place where you’ll find beers not easily found elsewhere around the city of El Paso, including limited release bourbon barrel–aged beers. If you want a taste of craft beers from around the world, Block Table & Tap is the place to be. Increasing the stock of IPAs in the summer and stouts in the winter, you’ll always have something new to try. Adding to the ample drinking menu, this trendy and posh location has a relaxing patio and phenomenal dishes.

Craft and Social

Bar, Pub, Pub Grub, Wine, Beer, Vegan, Fast Food

Craft and Social is the place to be for business personnel on weekdays and the young on nights and weekends. Located in the Office District of downtown El Paso, this modern bar has 20 beers on draft with constant rotations, so you’ll always come across new styles. If you happen to find a beer you just can’t get enough of, the bar offers the option to buy or bring your own growler. Joining together with local businesses and artists, Craft and Social is always hosting events. Well-crafted sandwiches are just some of the delicious options to indulge in and pair off with your beverage.
